Ortho-One Orthopaedic Speciality Centre successfully concluded the Ortho-One (Sports Medicine) Basketball Championship 2025, held from November 24 to 30 at the Coimbatore Corporation Basketball Court. The event emerged as one of the city’s largest school and club-level tournaments, featuring 100+ teams in the U14 and U18 boys’ and girls’ categories. The championship was inaugurated by Dr. David V. Rajan, Chairman & Managing Director of Ortho-One, along with the Ortho-One Management Team, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to youth sports and community health.

Specialized assessment tests were conducted at Ortho-One, ensuring detailed pre-participation screening. Player performance was monitored from Day 1, and real-time on-field analysis using the Vertex system provided advanced insights into movement and load patterns. The medical and physiotherapy team offered continuous on-ground coverage, enabling immediate care and performance optimization.

Ortho-One hosted on-field workshops for PET professionals, physiotherapists, and fitness trainers, focusing on injury prevention, conditioning techniques, and modern sports science practices.

The concluding day featured a vibrant award ceremony graced by Dr. David V. Rajan and Coimbatore Dy. Commissioner of Police M.P Dhivya IPS, who jointly honoured the young athletes. Dr. David V. Rajan emphasized the role of Sports Medicine & Halt Sports Injuries (HSI) Program in nurturing stronger, injury-free athletes and highlighted the need for scientific training support systems in grassroot level sports.

Dy. Commissioner of Police M.P Dhivya IPS praised the tournament’s success and appreciated Ortho-One’s efforts and encouraged students to stay committed to fitness, teamwork and perseverance.

The event concluded with the presentation of trophies and medals to winners and runners-up, along with special awards for the Best Player and Best Performing Team. The Ortho-One Basketball Championship 2025 stands as a testament to the institution’s mission of advancing youth sports while providing world-class sports medicine support—marking a significant milestone in Coimbatore’s growing sports culture.
